Whether in the water or near it, most locals would agree that the ocean serves as an instant remedy to a bad day or week, which is where the common phrase “salt-water therapy” comes from.
At 100 Sails Restaurant & Bar at Prince Waikiki, diners can enjoy a similar type of therapy with a fine-dining experience overlooking glistening Pacific waters.
The eatery offers both buffet and a la carte menus for breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner throughout the week. Though 100 Sail’s buffets are a customer favorite, chef de cuisine Joseph Almoguera, or just Chef Joe, says that the Small Bites menu, available at the bar and during daily happy hour, also has a friendly following.
Chef Joe recommends customers try Hoisin Barbecue Ribs ($15) — a special available only Monday and Tuesday this week. This savory, fall-off-the-bone dish is served with a coconut-sprinkled sweet potato salad.
SAIL AWAY WITH A NEW DISH
A menu item is quickly rising as a new favorite among diners at Prince Waikiki’s 100 Sails Restaurant & Bar, according to chef de cuisine Joseph Almoguera. Shiitake Mushroom Flatbread ($18) is a compilation of sauteed shiitake mushrooms and onions, Boursin cheese and micro greens, all atop a flaky puff-pastry flatbread and drizzled with balsamic reduction. This item offers a generous portion, sure to fill everyone up at the table, and is so tasty that you may have to order another!
