The premier chain steak house, which has Hawaii locations in Honolulu, Waikiki and Wailea, is known for its mouthwatering food and friendly service — and this year it celebrates 35 years in the islands.
“We continue to follow our founder Ruth Fertel’s original recipe for success: perfect steak, warm hospitality and good times that never stop rolling,” states Emi Chang Espinda, director of sales and marketing for Ruth’s Chris Steak House Hawai‘i. “You’ll always find exceptional steaks, selected from the top 2% of the country’s beef and served sizzling hot — broiled in 1,800-degree ovens and served sizzling on 500-degree plates.”
In addition to the deliciously juicy 16-ounce USDA Prime rib-eye and the full-flavored 24-ounce prime-cut T-bone, the restaurant also has a selection of seafood specialties — like seared ahi tuna and a chilled seafood tower. Pair them with custom cocktails or wine from the bar and don’t forget to save room for dessert.

DO: Tell us about your Prime Time Menu.
ECE: Our Prime Time Menu is a prix fixe menu ($59 per person) featuring a few of our chef’s favorite recipes. It includes your choice of starters (a steak house salad or a Caesar salad), entrees (an 8-ounce petite filet; a roasted double-breast chicken with garlic-herb cheese and lemon butter; a 16-ounce USDA Prime New York strip steak; a 16-ounce USDA Prime rib-eye; or an 11-ounce Midwestern filet), sides (creamed spinach, garlic mashed potatoes or steamed white rice) and desserts (ice cream, sorbet or bread pudding).
DO: Ruth’s Chris marks its 35th anniversary in Hawaii this year. What are you doing to celebrate?
ECE: We’re thrilled to be celebrating 35 years in Hawai‘i. As our way to say mahalo to all our wonderful and loyal guests, from April 15-19, all diners will receive a gift with their meal.
