Since 1974, Eggs ‘n Things has served blissful breakfasts with the spirit of aloha. To celebrate the Waikiki-established eatery’s semi-centennial anniversary, all four Oahu locations — as well as its fifth Guam location — are offering unbeatable specials and giveaways.
On Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, guests can enjoy breakfast dishes for only $2.50 from 7 to 8 a.m. and 1-2 p.m.
“The throwback 1974 pricing is our fun and unique way of thanking the community for their continued support,” says regional kitchen manager Lance Oshima.
Island Portuguese Sausage, Eggs & Rice ($2.50 throwback price; $12.95 regular price) is one of the eatery’s popular entrees. Two fresh island eggs are cooked “your way” and served alongside sausage and steamed white or brown rice.
Strawberry Sundae ($3.50 throwback price; $16.95 regular price) serves up four buttermilk pancakes topped with fresh strawberries and oh-so-photogenic whipped cream. Mini Mango Whipped Pancakes ($5.50, special on March 30 and 31 only) is another not-to-be-missed, pretty pancake special.
For any day of the year, Ahi and Eggs ($17.95) is a recommended dish. Fresh, line-caught tuna is encrusted with furikake and macadamia nuts and served next to two eggs and a starch (rice, potatoes, pancakes or other upgraded options available).
On March 27 and 31, the first 50 dine-in guests at each location will receive a special gift.
“Eggs ‘n Things is a home away from home,” Oshima says, who started as a busser with the eatery. “Our food feels like a home cooked meal that warms the soul.”
