Across three locations, each one aims to create a unique teppanyaki performance with a Hawaii twist. Head chef Joe Kim of the Ala Moana Center location brings 19 years of experience to the table. He shares a few of his favorite dishes to prepare.
Kim’s specialty is the 8-ounce salmon ($42.75), which is seared and grilled with butter and lemon. For a non-seafood option, Kim recommends the 10-ounce Rib-eye ($49.25), which is a juicy, marbled cut of Certified Angus Beef grilled on the teppanyaki grill. Add on the Fried Rice ($5.75) to any meal and the chefs will perform exciting juggling tricks as it is being prepared.
Tanaka of Tokyo is open 5 p.m.-9 p.m. daily. Due to the unique nature of the dining experience, there are no takeout or delivery options.
