This week, Tanaka of Tokyo is celebrating its 45th birthday.
“We are a locally owned family business that has been serving guests here in Honolulu since 1978,” says executive vice president and chief financial officer Alison “Bo” Tanaka. “We are especially grateful to all our longtime supporters who helped us reach this milestone.”
To celebrate, all three Tanaka of Tokyo locations (Ala Moana Center, Waikiki Shopping Plaza and OHANA Waikiki East Hotel) are offering a mouthwatering deal. For $45, guests can indulge in the Special Birthday Menu, which includes certified Angus beef sirloin, teriyaki chicken and sautéed shrimp — and it’s only available this week.
A visit to Tanaka of Tokyo is a unique experience on Oahu, and to savor the moment with the talented chefs, an add-on order of the famous Fried Rice ($5.75) is suggested.
“See the chefs perform amazing bowl and egg juggling tricks as they prepare the fried rice for you!” Tanaka exclaims.
Any visit to Tanaka of Tokyo will be satisfying and memorable, as the highly trained teppanyaki chefs prepare quality ingredients with flair, and welcoming staff and management treat every guest with aloha.
“Our people are the best and truly make the experience,” adds Tanaka. “We promise you will leave our restaurants dazzled, full and with a big smile.”
Reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are also accepted. Both Waikiki locations offer fully validated parking for up to three hours.
