As throngs of theater fans look forward to the highly anticipated run of “Hamilton” at the Blaisdell Concert Hall, Chef Chai is offering a show-stopping Pre-Theater Dinner Special Dec. 7-Jan. 29.
From 4 to 5 p.m., guests can enjoy a hearty four-course tasting menu for just $55 per person before heading across the street to take in the performance. The flavorful dinner begins with Chicken Sate accompanied with Thai peanut sauce, cucumber salad and Asian flat bread.
A family-style appetizer sampler is served next with a delicious medley of Smoked Duck Taco with fresh mango salsa; Salmon Gravlax Roulade with cream cheese and crab meat on cucumber chips; Kataifi and Macadamia Nut-Crusted Jumbo Black Tiger Prawns with pineapple vinaigrette; Roasted Butternut Squash and Lobster Bisque Shooters; and Japanese Eggplant and Zucchini Soufflé with fresh tomato basil sauce (vegetarian/ gluten-free option).
Diners then select an entrée choice of Grilled Kabayaki Salmon with sautéed vegetables and pineapple relish; Pan-Roasted Chicken with Hennessy cognac peppercorn sauce, mashed potatoes and vegetables; Vegetable Terrine with green curry sauce and naan bread; Grilled Thick Cut Boneless Pork Chop with crispy rice ($5 more for this option), a new menu addition that features the succulent pork that is marinated with garlic and rosemary; or Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Mushroom Foie Gras Puff with mashed potatoes, haricot vert and merlot demi ($10 more for this selection).
Chef Chai’s signature Heart-Shaped White Chocolate Gelato with fresh raspberry guava purée concludes the meal on a sweet note.
