While it specializes in traditional Japanese bento as well as international cuisine, Sho’s Kitchen Honolulu also offers monthly Chef’s Table Menu dinners that take the dining experience to a whole new level. The November Chef’s Table Menu is currently available from 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday nights by reservation.
“For the November Chef’s Table Menu, we’re focusing on French-style cuisine with some fusion,” explains owner Shoji Namatame, who notes that the eatery is BYOB for guests. “I hope everyone enjoys the experience, from appetizer to entrée.”
The Chef’s Table experience begins with a seafood flair as Oysters Rockefeller is followed by Hokkaido Scallop Carpaccio with yuzu vinaigrette. A pair of delicious entrées are next with Pan-Fried Catch of the Day featuring a thai red curry cream sauce with baked langoustine, and Red Wine Braised Beef with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
For dessert, diners are treated to a Cake M dessert, only available as part of the Chef’s Table menu.
