As its team strives to deliver traditional Hawaiian meals in a comfortable family-friendly environment, Young’s Fish Market delights local diners by serving up some of the island’s most delicious local food favorites as it has done since 1951.
Young’s Fish Market has two locations — Kalihi and Kapolei — where guests can enjoy an array of local specialties, including Beef Stew Plate ($14.75) with a generous 16-ounce portion of famous Beef Stew served with macaroni salad or lomi salmon, and rice or poi.
The Combination Plate comes with one’s choice of laulau — pork ($22.25) served daily, beef ($24.50) on Wednesdays and Saturdays, chicken ($22.25) on Mondays and Thursdays, and butterfish ($25.50) on Tuesdays and Fridays — along with kalua pig, pipikaula, Okinawan sweet potato, a choice of rice or poi, and a choice of lomi salmon or macaroni salad.
Big Al’s Hawaiian Bento ($13.75) features a mini laulau, kalua pig, pipikaula, Okinawan sweet potato and a scoop of rice. A limited number of these signature bentos are made daily, so be sure to call three days ahead for large orders.
