Fervent fans of teppanyaki can look forward to Tanaka of Tokyo’s East location reopening tomorrow (Feb. 1)!
“Having all three of our locations back open is a huge milestone for us,” shares vice president Alison “Bo” Tanaka. “All three of our restaurants have survived 2020 and are now open thanks to the encouragement and support of so many of our local customers, our managers and our staff.”
Located in OHANA Waikiki East by Outrigger, the East restaurant has a new head chef in Keoni Tynanes-Nakasone, as well as second chef Dereck “Katsu” Kami.
“Both have demonstrated their work ethic and dedication to the company and serving our loyal guests,” adds Tanaka.
Tanaka of Tokyo East is the only location with open-air dining — featuring huge sliding lanai doors that circulate fresh breezes — and Evo “smart” grills that suck up and filter smoke and emit clean air.
Tanaka of Tokyo’s Central (Waikiki Shopping Plaza) and West (Ala Moana Center) eateries remain open, as well.
Call the location nearest you to make reservations, or select a time to dine via OpenTable. And, don’t forget to keep up with the restaurants on Instagram and Facebook (@tanakaoftokyo) for monthly deals and specials.
