Good food tends to garner a strong following, and this has proven true time and time again at Hy’s Steak House. Because of COVID, the restaurant limited its hours Wednesdays-Sundays, but due to the demand from hungry locals, the much-loved Waikiki eatery has reopened for dinner every day of the week.
“We are so unbelievably thankful for the support from our community,” shares G.Lion Hawaii sales and marketing manager Jordyn Oriole.
The additional hours came just in time for the holidays, too, because Hy’s is booked up for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
Not to worry, though. Hy’s has got you covered with a special afternoon pickup for its Ohana Prime Rib Dinner for Five. Like the reservations, this is expected to run out fast, so call as soon as possible for pricing and availability, or visit hysprimebutchershop.com. Pickup for this meal is 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 24-25.
If you’re lucky enough to snag one of these feasts, expect cheese biscuits; chilled shrimp cocktail; mixed greens; 5 pounds of slow-roasted prime rib; baked holiday ham; garlic mashed potatoes; truffle mac ‘n’ cheese; sautéed vegetable du jour; and eggnog cheesecake.
“It’s all fully prepared,” adds Oriole. “You just have to heat it up.”
Want even more? Opt for the La Vie Celebration Package ($199) upgrade that comes with Tsar Nicoulai Osetra caviar, a dozen shucked Kusshi oysters, chilled Alaskan golden king crab legs and so much more.
