A CLOSER LOOK AT THIS WEEK’S HOUSE SPECIAL: S’MORES ANNIVERSARY TOAST ($20)
Since opening its doors in 2005, Shokudo Japanese Restaurant & Bar has been a go-to favorite for locals and tourists alike. Patrons have and continue to flock to the restaurant for its famous Honey Toast — a Japanese dessert that was created in Shibuya in the early 2000s.
This simple, yet ornate dessert is made from quality ingredients. Each loaf of bread is hollowed out, cubed and then topped with honey and vanilla ice cream. Additional toppings ($2 each) include Hot Fudge, Sweet Red Bean, Matcha Green Tea and Kona Coffee.
In honor of the restaurant’s 15th anniversary, Shokudo is inviting you to celebrate by trying its S’Mores Anniversary Toast. Not only is this flavor new to the menu, but it’s also offered for a limited time and comes with prizes that make everyone a winner.
Shokudo is conveniently located on Kapiolani Boulevard near Ala Moana Center, and offers a plethora of tasty Japanese dishes. Some favorite menu items are Homemade Tofu Salad ($12), Mochi Cheese Gratin ($7) and Sukiyaki Bibimbap ($14).
