L&L Hawaiian Barbecue is raising the bar when it comes to plate lunches and local comfort food via its innovative Mixplate by L&L Hawaii concept.
The “deconstructed plate lunch” approach allows diners to choose from multiple entrees as well as sides and starches prepared fresh daily. Mixplate selections are available at L&L’s First Insurance Company of Hawaii building location on Ward Avenue. The restaurant is on the building’s fifth floor, and offers a cafeteria-style setting with ample seating and a clean, welcoming atmosphere.
“Our customers love this next-level concept very much,” explains franchise owner Greg Arcibal. “We also offer fresh pies including Chocolate Cream, Lemon Jello and the top-selling Peanut Butter Cream that are available by the slice for just $2.95.”
Daily specials include flavorful options like Salmon Piccata ($12.95), a classic infused with lemon and garlic notes, as well as healthy options including Chicken and Vegetables ($9.50).
The traditional L&L menu is also available, and features longtime favorites including Mixed Plate ($12.95) with guests’ choices of go-to staples including kalbi and barbecue chicken. These and other plates come with two scoops of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad.
“Customers can walk over from work and enjoy a great breakfast or lunch — it’s very convenient,” says Arcibal. “We also offer all sorts of great breakfast options including chia bowls and the popular avocado toast.”
