Corporate chef Jose Arias reminds customers that the concept behind GRYLT is to bring customers simple food with very fundamental techniques that permeate as much flavor as possible. The ingredients that go into the dishes are of the finest grade and many of them are from local vendors.

With two locations, one in Kailua and the other in Kahala Mall, this eatery will have patrons looking forward to an array of freshly grilled plates and power meals, plus sandwiches, wraps, salads and soups.

GRYLT’s soups, for example, are especially ideal during the island’s current cool “cuddle weather.”

“(Our soups) are always made from scratch, always healthy, and we can always tell you exactly every ingredient that is in them,” shares Arias. “(The products) are never from a bag. It’s all local veggies as much as possible, and we try to have vegetarian and vegan options, also.”

There is a bounty of possibilities on the menu including grilled steak, shrimp and chicken, as well as organic Angus burgers, and surf and turf plates. The chicken also contains no antibiotics and is sure to be hormone and steroid-free.
