Local eatery L&L Hawaiian Barbecue has a global following due to its savory and well-loved island comfort food options like Chicken Katsu, Kalua Pork and Cabbage and Ramen Burger (limited quality available).

Humbly started as a dairy farm in 1952, L&L evolved into a popular drive-in restaurant in Liliha by 1976. Having been around for decades, L&L is quite established as a “must-try” for Hawaii visitors and a “must-go again and again” for locals. With 51 franchise locations on Oahu alone, including one right next to the airport, one is never too far away from accessible, always satiating, ono food.

Even if you are traveling and feeling a little homesick, L&L can be found in places as far away as California, New York and Japan. The restaurant is also a popular option for birthdays, office lunches, celebrations and other get-togethers. Additionally, L&L delivers and offers dishes and bentos to go.

ENOUGH TO GO AROUND
Besides being a quick-service dine-in restaurant, L&L Hawaiian Barbecue also offers amazing catering options. A small pupu platter filled to the brim with mouthwatering, delicious food is $37.99 and can feed 10 to 15 people, while a large pupu platter is $63.99 and can easily satisfy 35 to 50 people (prices reflect the menu at the L&L Airport Trade Center location and may vary at other locations). L&L’s airport location is closed on Christmas Day, but it is open on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve from 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and has regular hours (varies by location) on New Year’s Day.
