Everyone’s favorite plate lunch spot is adding to its menu and diners are excited and ready to scarf down the new selections. Kau Kau Grill, known for its hefty portions of mouthwatering, straight to the point eats, is implementing a specials rotation between five different dishes.

The specials include Crispy Baked Panko Chicken, Roast Pork w/Gravy, Lechon Kawali, Mushroom Chicken w/Gravy and Hamburger Steak w/Onions and Gravy. Each week will feature one of the aforementioned items, at $10 a plate, and the chosen special will be available for customers every Wednesday and Thursday. The list will rotate accordingly.

The mushroom chicken plate does not hold back on its name and is jam packed with juicy chunks of soft mushrooms on top generous slabs of moist chicken slathered in a savory brown gravy.

The roast pork falls apart at the touch of the fork and is a lovely bite that is complemented well by the overflowing gravy. For the perfect amount of crunch, Crispy Baked Panko Chicken will not disappoint as these cuts are fried to perfection as tender bites await within its golden coat.

In addition to the fun, fresh pickings, Kau Kau’s reliable menu stands as a mainstay for hungry workers of the industrial area, as well as for those beyond. A popular go-to includes Barbecue Baby Back Ribs ($9 mini, $12 regular), which comes with steamy rice and choice of greens or Kau Kau’s famous spaghetti noodles mac salad. Plus, go the extra level with Krazy Rice for just $1 more per scoop substitute.

If you’re looking for a sweet treat, this joint has that, too. Pick up an order of bite-sized cookies that are perfect for a midday pick-me-up or for an end of day wind-down. The resealable packaging further allows for a morning snack — that would go great dipped in your morning cup of joe, if you so choose.
