If you have a significant milestone coming up, and you’re considering ways to mark the occasion, here’s something you might want to know about. Starting April 1, Hy’s Steak House in Waikiki will begin offering a very special Platinum Menu for two.
For more than 40 years, kamaaina and visitors alike have celebrated their most important life events at Hy’s. The carefully planned Platinum Menu, worthy of the most special celebrations, is filled with irresistible options, including Hudson Valley foie gras with figs; macaroni and cheese made with black truffles and crabmeat; and Chocolate Decadence Cake, described by the restaurant as “flourless and sinful.”
One of the most intriguing entree choices will tempt those who crave the perfect steak.
“Our Wagyu Tomahawk Ribeye, from Durham Ranch in Wyoming, will be exclusive to this menu,” says Bob Panter, guest relations manager at Hy’s.
The gorgeous piece of premium beef is presented with the bone exposed, against a bed of bright seasonal vegetables.
At $125 per person, the feast ends on a sweetly high note. Fans of Hy’s tableside desserts will love the four-piece chocolate gift box. “Our Bananas Foster and Cherries Jubilee truffles were inspired by our most popular flambes,” says Panter.
Exclusively available at Hy’s, an eight-piece box also is available for purchase.
Hy’s Kobe Tea tasting box is another wonderful gift. At $40, the box includes seven flavors, with two bags of each flavor, perfect to enjoy with a friend. Flavors include English Breakfast, Orange Earl Grey, and Queen’s Highland, all packed by Kobe Tea, founded in 1925.
One last tip for savvy fans of this impeccable steakhouse: Hy’s will host brunches for Easter on April 1, Mother’s Day on May 13, and Father’s Day on June 17. Visit hyswaikiki.com and click the “Events” tab to view menus.
