For high-quality steak and fine dining, world-famous Wolfgang ‘s Steakhouse by Wolfgang Zwiener is a prime location to woo that special someone or for an enjoyable night out.
While Wolfgang’s is known for serving only the best USDA Prime-grade Black Angus beef, the eatery also cooks up rich, delicious sides to complement any meal.
German Potatoes ($15.95) serves up to four people and is an instant classic, especially for Zwiener, since it is his grandmother’s recipe. The crispiness on the outside and the tenderness on the inside are enhanced with caramelized onions, making this dish a very popular option among diners. Bill Nickerson, general manager of Wolfgang’s Waikiki location, also approves of the dish, saying, “If you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend ordering it on your next visit, instead of mashed or baked potatoes.”
Another savory side sure to satisfy every meat-lover is Sizzling Bacon ($6.95 per slice), which is served extra thick. “The highest quality bacon is used and we prepare it in our special 1,600-degree broiler to give it that perfect caramelized, crispy crust,” explains Nick-erson. “(It’s) almost as popular as our steaks, with some fanatics choosing this tasty side (dish) as their (main)entree — but we won’t name names!”
Also a great addition to any meal is decadent Mac ‘n Cheese ($16.95), which is enough to share with the whole table (should you feel so generous) and worth every creamy bite, according to Nickerson. He mentions that the restaurant uses a whole lobster tail in this rich and luxurious dish, as well as heavy cream and four kinds of cheese.
Diners also can dine with their pinkies up when they sip on a glass from Wolfgang’s award-winning wine selection, or whichever drink they desire from the bar.
Dine in at Wolfgang’s Steakhouse for an unforgettable experience. Validated parking is available at Royal Hawaiian Center for free during the first hour and $2 per hour for the next three hours.
