The day for trick-or-treating is approaching, and Shiro’s Saimin Haven is rolling out some of its own appetizing treats for diners.
The eatery’s new breakfast option of Mini Waffles and Spam ($5.30) is a nice, light start to your day, or even a pleasant addition to the main meal. Currently, it is only available at the Waimalu location, and is a popular choice among seniors and keiki.
Bryce Fujimoto, Shiro’s Saimin general manager and grandson of founder Franz Shiro Matsuo, says this new option comes as an effort for the restaurant to boost its breakfast menu and cater to its customers. He also shares that after a customer commented on the eatery’s slight increase in menu prices, he is making it a point to compensate in other ways.
“It made us think, and we are trying to create more value for the customers,” he explains. He says that diners can look forward to an expanded menu with more mixed-plate options and sandwich combinations.
A TRIPLE-THREAT MEAL DEAL
As part of Shiro’s Saimin Haven’s new menu options, diners can now order sandwich combinations from its takeout windows. The most desired burger among customers is “Beeg” Shiro ($5.95). Complete this triple-decker burger and order it as a combo with regular-size fries and a large drink for an additional $3.25 (or $4.25 for the “Big Brah” combo that comes with large fries and a jumbo drink). For those with a Lilikoi Passion or Green River drink craving, it’s only 25 cents for an upgrade with the combo deal.
