Eatery Gears Up For Festival

Stir Fried Garoupa ($15.95)

With September finally here, it is now the third-half of the year with autumn festivities in full swing! In Chinese culture that means it’s Chinese Moon Festival time and The Mandalay is firing up its ovens to send its customers “over the moon” with special recipes.

Even though the Moon Festival isn’t until Oct. 4, The Mandalay will have mooncakes on sale starting next Sunday, Sept. 10, through Wednesday, Oct. 4.

Prepare to get in line for a variety of delicate bites, such as lotus, double yolk and lightly sweet taro moon-cakes — the latter of which is a special at The Mandalay this year. And these are just the start of the combinations that you — as well as your relatives and friends — can indulge in.

So quit chasing the moon and satisfy your appetite at The Mandalay with goodies from an ancient Chinese tradition.

CURB YOUR HUNGER PANGS

Occupy anxious taste buds that are waiting for mooncake season with any one — or two, or three — of these palatable dishes. Start off with a flavorful seafood dish of Stir Fried Garoupa ($15.95), which is covered in a light white wine sauce and accompanied by an array of crisp vegetables. To bring some feng shui balance to your palate, opt for a land protein with Spare Rib in Vinaigrette Sauce ($15.95).
