“You can’t go wrong with this dish; it’s a very good item that not too many people know about,” says Aina Haina Chop Suey owner Julia Wong.

The restaurant itself has been in the Aina Haina Shopping Center under the same family ownership for 28 years, as it was formerly named Duck Yun. Wong, would like the public to know it is the same ownership and resturant, with just a different feel to it.

Wong helped plan the recently completed renovations, which boasts a crisper, more modern atmosphere. As for the menu, Wong wanted to stay traditional, with a large menu that favored the traditional style of chop suey cuisine.

Aina Haina Chop Suey also offers lunch specials Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Some of those items include Special Seafood Fried Rice for $9.95, Sea Bass Ginger Onion on Rice for $9.75 and Roast Pork Vegetable Tofu Noodle or Rice for $8.75.
