Yoshi is not your typical traditional Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere alone is one that provokes a modern and trendy vibe. The clean-cut decor is balanced throughout, enticing feelings of progressive comfortability. The menu has come a long way. Yoshi has recently started to find its identity and rhythm when it comes to its menu items. Previously, Yoshi primarily featured yakatori, skewered-style items, but then expanded and has now edited its menu, which like the atmosphere is harmonized, offering dozens of appetizing selections.

Garlic Ribeye Steak ($18)

“Recently we made the menu smaller. Before the customers said the menu was too big and it was hard for them to decide. We love to have our customers enjoy our atmosphere and enjoy traditional Japanese food,” says Yoshi owner Akinori “Aki” Hinose.

One of the eatery’s best-selling items is Garlic Ribeye Steak priced at $18. The ribeye is first coated in garlic before hitting the grill. It is then sliced and lavished with the chef’s own house garlic sauce. Topped with onions and green onions as well as deep-fried garlic chips, the steak is a pleasure to sight, scent and certainly taste.

Yoshi has a variety of sake, shochu, wines and specialty liquors, if the mood tempts you. And Tempura Ice Cream ($5) is a delicious dessert choice that will not overwhelm after a satisfying meal.
