Most of Million Restaurant’s patrons are familiar with the ever-popular meat jun and fish jun dishes, both of which stand as classics at the Sheridan Street eatery. However, the eatery is now turning the tables with its menu and offering up something a bit different — oyster jun.
Ultimately delicious in its own right, oyster connoisseurs will marvel in the 12 pieces of savory oysters delicately fried in Korean egg batter. Owners Chang Hyun Park and Angela Park attest that locals can’t resist this bitesized delicacy.
“This is a very popular item that we sell here,” says Angela, noting that the majority of customers like to dip each oyster in a special shoyu vinegar sauce for additional flavor.
Customers can order the oyster jun a la carte for $12, or as a complete meal for $13 with rice, soup and a spread of banchan, including homemade kim chee, steamed egg, bean sprouts with sesame seed oil, taegu and more.
Want to feel the heat? Turn up the yakiniku grill and cook up some mouth-watering kal-bi to go with your oyster jun. Or how about a boiling hot stew that will definitely have you working up a sweat? All this and more awaits you at Million Restaurant.
