A decadent feast for fathers

Prime rib will heat up on the buffet.

Say the magic words “all-you-can-eat,” and you can be sure you’ll make Dad (and Dad’s stomach) happy. This Father’s Day, Makino Chaya is offering a special buffet priced at $28.98 for lunch and $38.98 for dinner.

Located at Westridge Shopping Center in Aiea, across the street from Pearl-ridge Center, Makino Chaya has been a longtime favorite for local families since 2005.

Father’s Day arrives on Sunday, June 19. For that day only, Makino Chaya’s Father’s Day lunch will be held 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and dinner will be offered from 5:30 to 9 p.m. With a time limit of an hour and a half, fathers and their families are welcome to sit down and eat as much as they would like from Makino Chaya’s famous and diverse buffet menu, which will include a varied selection of tender meats and fresh seafood for both lunch and dinner.

The Father’s Day buffet at Makino Chaya will feature a host of meat and seafood Dad won’t be able to resist.

For dinner, you can fill up your plates with a delicious assortment of roast pig, juicy prime rib, barbecue ribs and sausage. For dishes that hail from the sea, try Makino Chaya’s signature fresh lobster, snow crab, a poke bar and succulent oysters.

General manager Chris Mitchell says, “We want fathers to have an enjoyable day, sharing good food and having a good time with their families.”
