Hawaii is a state that highlights delicious dishes from multiple cultures across the world — and Alejandro’s Mexican Food brings the taste of Mexico to Oahu.
“What I would like my guests to experience is a getaway from the real world,” says owner Alejandro Alvarado.
“If it’s just for two minutes or two hours, you feel good about being in here. No worries and good vibing.”
Alejandro’s showcases a range of cuisine, including the Taco Combo Plate with three tacos, rice and beans ($13.50- $16.95), the Wet Burrito Combo Plate with rice and beans ($13.50-$16.95) and Nachos With The Works ($11.50-$16.50).
“We would hope the customers enjoy our food the most overall,” Alvarado says. “Good food, drinks, conversations, and a fun environment.”
Established in 2011 as a taco food cart in Waikiki, Alejandro’s Mexican Food began selling tacos to help society, according to Alvarado.
Now the restaurant has blossomed, growing from one location to three: Pearl City, Kapahulu and Kalihi.
