At Waiolu Ocean Cuisine, guests are invited to enjoy an intimate, romantic setting for two, or conversational-style sofa seating for pau hana outings or family get-togethers.
According to the restaurant’s director of sales and marketing Patsy Narimatsu, “The inspired menu begins with locally sourced ingredients for small plates, a modern take on sushi and market-driven seafood.”
Situated on the sixth floor of the Trump International Hotel Waikiki on the bustling Waikiki Beach Walk, the restaurant features an open-air dining concept with a casual-yet-sophisticated vibe complete with a full bar, comfortable seating and plenty of space in which to enjoy the stellar menu items and picturesque views.
Guests may choose from an array of ono sushi roll options, including North Shore Roll ($26) featuring garlic shrimp, avocado, kampachi, garlic aioli and kabayaki sauce; Tiger Roll ($24) built with Alaskan crab, tempura shrimp, cucumber, tempura crunch and New Zealand King salmon; and the alluring Rise of the Phoenix Roll ($25) with Alaskan crab, smoked salmon belly, ahi, hamachi, avocado, yuzu aioli and aji amarillo.
“We offer impeccable panoramic views and contemporary cuisine, including our sushi made from the freshest catches from the Pacific,” says Waiolu Ocean Cuisine chef Joseph Rose. “For some lively libations, experience the ‘Liquid Artistry’ found in Waiolu’s signature Ilikea’s Mai Tai,” which was named “World’s Best Mai Tai” in 2011.
