In a world dominated by chain kaiten (conveyor belt) sushi restaurants, Sushi Bay stands alone.
No one, for example, comes close to matching the Mix Don ($10.95) — a heaping bowl of rice loaded with ahi poke, spicy ahi, a few huge slabs of ahi and salmon sashimi, and white and green onions. It is in a league of its own — a little bit of everything that Sushi Bay does best at a price everyone can afford. (A miniature version, without the sashimi, also is available at a lower price.)
Those who prefer more traditional rolls, of course, have their pick between the Dragon Roll (unagi atop a California roll), Dynamite Roll (spicy ahi on a tempura roll) and Rainbow Roll (avocado, ahi and salmon atop a California roll).
In classic Sushi Bay style, they are gigantic, generous with the fish and more than worth your money — in this case, $6.25.
