La Hiki Kitchen at Four Seasons in Ko Olina recently launched Sunday Brunch for All Seasons, a decadent buffet featuring local and chef-inspired seasonal favorites, along with a prime rib carving station, dim sum and noodles, raw seafood bar, pasta and frittata station, the local favorite Loco Moco, waffles, a keiki corner, dessert station and more. There also is a do-it-yourself Bloody Mary Bar for adults.
“The amount of variety and the food quality is very different from other brunches that I’ve had before,” says executive pastry chef Helen Hong. “It has every possible station you can imagine. You just have to experience it yourself. It’s a really good price, and it’s getting more popular every week.”
Located in the lower lobby overlooking the resort’s serenity pool with an open-air setting and select views of the Pacific Ocean, La Hiki Kitchen offers continental American cuisine with local influences, including Asian flavors, farm-fresh ingredients and local produce, meats and seafood. The restaurant is open for breakfast (buffet and a la carte), dinner (Friday-Tuesday) and Sunday Brunch.
ALL CHOCOLATE
For Sunday Brunch for All Seasons ($65; price subject to change), executive pastry chef Helen Hong has been creating special desserts to go with a rotation of themes. For example, last week it was childhood favorites, and today it’s chocolate.
Enjoy Banana Chocolate Cake featuring local apple bananas, layered with chocolate cream and covered with hazelnut. The whole thing also is topped with milk and dark chocolate shavings.
“Everything is made from scratch in the pastry kitchen,” says Hong.
There also are assorted chocolate bark — including Caramelized Hazelnut Chocolate, Milk Chocolate Cashew, White Chocolate Pecan Coffee and Ginger Macadamia Nut with Dark Chocolate — as well as freshly baked Hazelnut Chocolate Cookies.
