Indulge in a memorable meal

All Occasions Pizza with Arugula and Prosciutto ($30)

For nearly a century, House Without A Key has distinguished itself as one of Waikiki’s most iconic eateries. When legendary author Ernest Hemingway would stay at Halekulani in the 1940s, he would reserve the hotel restaurant’s table 97 and bask in views of the ocean with Diamond Head in the background.

“House Without A Key has been known as the local gathering spot with the backdrop of our over-century-old kiawe tree and the Pacific Ocean, and with nightly Hawaiian music and hula dancer,” says Jarrin Otake, chef de cuisine. “It is still the ultimate place to experience sunset cocktails and local-style comfort food.”

For lunch, Otake suggests The Joy Crab Special ($35). The signature dish serves red king crab meat on freshly baked bread with crispy bacon, lettuce and avocado. A salad and pickle complete the meal.

The always-evolving dinner menu includes All Occasions Pizza with Arugula and Prosciutto ($30) topped with oregano, olive oil, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. The Halekulani Signature Steamed Local Catch ($48) features a fresh island fish, shiitake mushrooms and baby bok choy alongside a sesame soy ginger broth.

Dinner diners are delighted with nightly entertainment starting at 5 p.m. Along with incredible sunset views, a hula performer gracefully greets guests from 6 to 8 p.m. A solo artist performs from 8:15 to 10 p.m. — allowing diners to linger in House Without A Key’s intimate ambiance and savor an exceptional cocktail.

The dress code is casual resort or beach attire with a cover-up or shirt, and footwear is required.
