Guests who visit Oahu can expect beautiful sunsets, sandy beaches and authentic Chinese cuisine at local restaurant Mian.
“We offer authentic noodles that can be enjoyed in-house or as takeout,” manager Shihong Xu says. “They are perfect for a quick meal for one person and also serve as a great gathering place.”
The restaurant’s House Beef Noodles ($15.99) consist of homemade noodles in a Sichuan-style spicy beef soup base topped with beef stew and bok choy. Hot and Sour Sweet Potato Noodles ($11.99) are also on the menu. These have a chewy texture and are served in a salty and sour bone soup base.
For guests looking to enjoy a meatier option, Mian has Pork Dumplings ($13.99) available in a sweet and spicy sauce. Customers are also welcome to try appetizers House Fried Chicken ($8.99), House Pancake Beef Rolls ($7.99) and Spicy Pork Tripe ($8.99).
In addition to authentic Sichuan cuisine, the restaurant also offers a comfortable dining room and refreshing beverages, including Herbal Tea ($3.50), Refined Mandarin Soda ($5.50) and Genki Peach Soda ($5.50). Mian also serves Coke ($2.50), Sprite ($2.50) and Diet Coke ($2.50).
Xu, who has been with Mian for four years, says that visitors enjoy the food and service most when visiting the eatery. What the manager enjoys most about being a part of Mian is a “good working environment and a harmonious team.”
As 2024 continues, Xu says that Mian will be adding new items to its menu.
