Popcorn is a popular snack around the world. It’s a salty, sweet and tasty treat, and Island Popper is bringing back some crowd-pleasing flavors just in time for summer.
“This year has been crazy so far!” says owner Andrea Tournis-Vagenas. “Our amazing customers keep coming back for more, and our wholesale partners are keeping us on our toes, too.”
To celebrate the upcoming season, Island Popper will showcase its Pumpkin Spice Pecan Caramel Popcorn (bags start at $9; $14 for four cups), made with in-house pumpkin spice butter-roasted pecans and non-GMO popcorn kernels coated in pumpkin spice-infused caramel.
In honor of all dads, the company will also feature its Father’s Day gift set ($20), which includes a Father’s Day tiki mug, a cup of macadamia nut popcorn and a set of finger chopsticks.
Island Popper also has treats available for graduates. Sealed cups are available at four for $12, plus 50 cents for kakimochi or the featured flavor.
“Our sealed cups are on special for those grad parties and beyond,” Tournis-Vagenas says.
“Nothing matters more to me than putting out a quality product and making each customer feel like family,” the owner continues.
Started in 2012 with a craving for gourmet popcorn, Island Popper has since expand ed to a food truck and store. It sells all types of popcorn flavors from real cheddar cheese to original furikake.
“Since then (almost 13 years ago), I have poured everything into making the best of the best!” Tournis-Vagenas says.
