Located in the heart of Honolulu, Mian restaurant is always ready to serve customers looking to experience true Sichuan cuisine.
“We offer authentic noodles that can be enjoyed in-house or as takeout,” says manager Shihong Xu. “They are perfect for a quick meal for one person and also serve as a great gathering place.”
Mian’s menu includes House Beef Noodles ($15.99), which have a spicy Sichuan-style beef soup base and are topped with a tender beef stew and steamed bok choy.
Hot & Sour Sweet Potato Noodles ($11.99) are also available, featuring a chewy texture in a big bone soup base. Customers looking for a meatier option are welcome to enjoy Mian’s Pork Dumplings ($13.99), crafted with a traditional sweet and spicy sauce filling of minced pork. The restaurant also offers a wide variety of drinks for guests hoping to wet their whistles, including Genki Plum Soda ($5.50), Herbal Tea ($3.50), and Refined Mandarin Soda ($5.50).
According to the restaurant’s website, the eatery is “known for its modern interpretation of classic dishes and its insistence on only using high quality fresh ingredients.”
Xu, who has been with Mian for four years, says the best part of working there is the “harmonious team and good working environment.” The manager also says cus tomers enjoy the food and service most when visiting the diner.
“Thank you, everyone, for your support of Mian and for experiencing the most authentic Sichuan cuisine and culture,” Xu says.
As the year continues, Xu hopes to add more items to Mian’s menu.
