High-quality Japanese cuisine

Char Siu Ramen Paitan ($14.50)

Teishoku Restaurant has arguably the best misoyaki butterfish in Honolulu, and guests are invited to try it for themselves when dining at the Kamehameha Shopping Center restaurant.

“I love Japanese food and cook Japanese food almost every day,” says owner Jason Zhang. “I like to see customers have satisfaction with our food, drink and service.”

Established in July 2016, Teishoku showcases a wide variety of Japanese cuisine — all made by chefs trained in Japan.

Dishes include Char Siu Ramen Paitan ($14.50) served with choy sum, kamaboko, menma and green onion. A side dish of Chicken Karaage ($11.75) is also available for guests looking for a meaty option, and the Spicy Ahi and Misoyaki Butterfish ($21.50) is ready for all customers to enjoy.

When patrons enter Teishoku, they can expect authentic Japanese food and beverages, excellent customer service, reasonable prices, casual dining and high-quality ingredients. They won’t be disappointed, according to Zhang.

After graduating from University of Hawaii at Manoa, Zhang worked in the hotel industry in Waikiki for two years before opening Teishoku Restaurant.

Zhang says he wants to open a second restaurant with the same high-quality products and affordable prices.

“Thank you for (your) con tinued support,” he says. “We are looking forward to seeing you soon!”
