Hawaii is a melting pot of flavorful cuisines, and Khan Skewer Restaurant exemplifies this perfectly with its Asian fusion dining style.

Established in 2021, the eatery features the “flavor of a Mongolian legacy,” according to its Instagram. Popular options include Lamb Skewers ($12.99 for five) and Maui Venison Skewers ($13.99 for five). Guests are also welcome to enjoy the restaurant’s Spicy/Chinese Thirteen Spice Seasonal Crawfish ($28.99), Spicy Grilled Shrimp ($28.99) and Grilled Whole Squid ($18.99).

Khan Skewer’s fusion also extends to its seasonings, including the traditional Chinese Mongolian Seasoning Sauce with chile and cumin powder, and the Hawaiian Seasoning Pineapple Sauce. “We want to incorporate more local, fresh Hawaiian ingredients,” says co-founder Fiona Yang. “We would like to open more Asian fusion Mongolian restaurants to show the customers the traditional food mix with modern cuisine.”

Yang looks forward to showcasing these flavors during Khan Skewer’s Chinese Lunar New Year promotion through Feb. 16. During this time, the restaurant will celebrate the Year of the Dragon by presenting guests who spend at least $50 with lucky red envelopes containing gift cards and vouchers for free dishes. Customers will also receive one free plate of dumplings per receipt.
