Pork Dumplings ($13.99)

MIAN Honolulu is quickly gaining clout in the local dining scene by serving flavorful noodle dishes — for which the restaurant is named — and highlighting authentic, spicy Sichuan-style cuisine.

Situated in Keeaumoku’s thriving culinary hotbed, MIAN specializes in Chinese street-foodstyle dishes that are simple, yet bursting with flavor all within a clean, casual environment.

Manager Pony Xu recommends guests try MIAN’s top-selling dish: House Beef Noodles ($15.99). The restaurant’s delicious offering is crafted with fresh noodles coupled with a Sichuan-style spicy beef soup base and topped with tender beef stew, steamed bok choy and green onions. Diners are encouraged to pick their desired spice level, ranging from mild to very spicy — the latter of which has been known to challenge many a taste bud.

Pork Dumplings ($13.99) is one of MIAN’s popular appetizers. The special dish serves as a great way to start a meal. The hand-wrapped dumplings are filled with tender, minced pork and accented with a mouthwatering spicy-sweet sauce. Hot & Sour Sweet Potato Noodles ($11.99) is another go-to offering that features the chewy texture of MIAN’s sweet potato noodles served in a salty-and-sour, big-bone soup base.
