Honu’s Kalbi & Sushi is serving up sushi and sashimi platters that are perfect for holiday parties.

Christmas and New Year’s Day will soon arrive, and Honu’s Kalbi & Sushi is ready to help customers celebrate with savory platters.

“We have many catering menu items for your special parties,” says owner Sam Seo.

Specializing in both Korean and Japanese cuisine, the restaurant is currently offering medium ($56) and large ($90) sashimi platters with ahi and hamachi, and its large sushi platter ($55) featuring California rolls, avocado, sashimi and ahi.

The restaurant also specializes in kalbi, pork ribs, teriyaki chicken and teriyaki beef for guests who enjoy protein-packed entrees.

“I’ve had a long history working with Japanese food and Korean food, and wanted to create a restaurant with both cuisines and also wanted a place where you can sit down and eat or grab a bento or a roll of sushi to-go,” Seo says.

Having worked in the food industry for over 30 years, Seo would like to expand Honu’s Kalbi & Sushi to multiple locations across Oahu so people can enjoy the restaurant’s plates, bentos and platters.
