An inside look at MIAN Honolulu

To “let Hawaii residents and tourists from all over the world experience the true Sichuan cuisine” is the most rewarding part of working for MIAN Honolulu,” says manager Shihong Xu, who has been with the eatery since 2019.

Pork Dumplings ($13.99)

Popular dishes include House Beef Noodles ($15.99) that features a spicy Sichuan-style soup base, topped with tender beef stew and steamed bok-choy. Customers looking for a porcine option, meanwhile, can treat themselves to the Pork Dumplings ($13.99), which combines a tender minced-meat pork filling with sweet and sour sauce.

Pork Belly Stew Rice Bowl ($13.99)

MIAN Honolulu’s menu also includes a vegetarian option. The Hot and Sour Sweet Potato Noodles ($11.99) have a chewy texture and come in a salty big-bone soup base.

As customers warm up from this cuisine, they can cool down with Iced Herbal Tea ($2.99) and Iced Plum Juice ($3.99).

“Good food, service and the spicy culture of Sichuan,” are what Xu hopes customers will remember after visiting MIAN Honolulu.

The restaurant also offers takeout options for those who want to bring the Sichuan experience home.
