Serving up delicious Chinese cuisine is the name of the game at MIAN Honolulu, and as summer rolls on, customers can enjoy these dishes in a cool, comfortable locale.

“We offer authentic Sichuan-style noodles and traditional Sichuan style street food also,” says restaurant manager Pony Xu. “Enjoy the Sichuan culture, Sichuan food, and we have a very warm and welcoming environment and quick service.”

A signature of MIAN Honolulu, the House Beef Noodles ($15.99) are served in a rich soup base with tender meat and its special chewy noodles.

Guests can follow up this dish with the popular House Pork Dumplings ($13.99). The filling and sauce are crafted in Chengdu China’s traditional style.

Finally, the restaurant serves a Tender Pork Belly Stew ($13.99) with a sweet and salty flavor, which, according to Xu, is enjoyed by people of all ages.

Named after the Chinese word for noodle, MIAN was created by chef Tony Xu, who rose to fame in 2013 after launching the restaurant Chengdu Taste in Sun Gabriel Valley, California. Tony then established the first MIAN restaurant in 2016.

Established in 2019, MIAN Honolulu shares the same customer service philosophy as its predecessor, and Pony says Oahu’s MIAN team is looking forward to developing new dishes the traditional way with local flavors.

“People are supportive and nice,” Pony says. “We have a good team.”
