Yoas Sorbet & Aquascapes offers customers the perfect way to cool down as summer heats up with its flavorful sorbets and pop-culture merchandise.
“We have a very interesting and unique shop based on our many backgrounds,” says co-owner and secretary Corey Morihara. “Our knowledge of anime, food, sorbet, swords, coins and cards is hard to beat.”
As customers enter the shop, they are treated to a menu of sorbet flavors such as honeydew, mango, lilikoi, strawberry lemon and lychee. Some of the restaurant’s most popular flavors include white peach, pickled mango and green river. The sorbets are $5.50 for an 8-ounce medium cup and $7.50 for a 16-ounce pint.
As customers enjoy these sweet delights, they are also welcome to peruse the shop’s collection of trading cards, cellphone covers, pins and figurines from multiple animes, cartoons and sports. The shop even sells plants.
“We would like to be a safe place for everyone to come and enjoy good food and desserts and relax,” Morihara says. “Hopefully we can continue bringing quality to our community and hopefully more people learn about us so we can continue being here.”
Established in 2019 through the collective talents of Morihara, Scott Chingon and Tina Nguyen,Yoas Sorbet & Aquascapes is a showcase for aquascaping, engraveing, carpentry and cooking.
“Our business is different, it’s unique,” Morihara says. “We have three vastly different businesses all in one, but we make it work.”
