Guests visiting Waiolu Ocean Cuisine from across the island or around the world continue to reel in the flavor as an evolving menu features locally sourced ingredients and a modern take on market-driven seafood.

Diners are invited to enjoy an intimate, romantic setting for two, or conversational-style sofa seating for pau hana outings or family get-togethers.Waiolu Ocean Cuisine is open for lunch (11 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesdays-Sundays), dinner (5-9 p.m.) and the popular Sunset Hour service (4-6 p.m.).

Butter Roasted Lobster Tails ($67 dinner)

Located on the sixth floor of the Trump International Hotel Waikiki on the bustling Waikiki Beach Walk, the restaurant features an open-air dining concept with a casual, yet sophisticated, vibe, complete with a full bar, comfortable seating and plenty of space to enjoy the stellar menu items and picturesque views.

“At Waiolu, our guests can enjoy an elegant open-air dining experience and vast seafood options with vibrant flavors and modern plating,” says executive chef Yoshi Ohata.

Seafood Pasta ($45 lunch)

“Whether you are celebrating a special day, wanting to satisfy a craving or just looking to experience something new, our seasonal menus and dedicated staff are ready to deliver an exceptional experience.”

Dive into deliciousness by starting your meal with Apple Arugula Salad ($19 lunch) featuring fresh flavors of cucumber, cilantro, goat cheese, candied macadamia nuts, dried cranberries, chile pepper and vanilla pear vinaigrette. Guests may also add Seared Ahi to the stellar salad for an additional $12.

Oysters in the Half Shell ($3 each Sunset Hour)

Seafood Pasta ($45 lunch) offers a superb showcase of the fare that has made Waiolu Ocean Cuisine so popular. The seafood medley includes broiled tarragon lobster, shrimp, scallops and mussels with linguine pasta and a rich Pomodoro sauce along with crostini.

During the can’t-miss Sunset Hour, be sure to try Spicy Tuna Roll ($14 Sunset Hour) built with cucumber, shichimi and spicy mayo as well as Oysters on the Half Shell ($3 each Sunset Hour) accompanied by ponzu, cocktail sauce and lemon.

Apple Arugula Salad ($19 lunch, add seared ahi for $12)

Butter Roasted Lobster Tails ($67 dinner) steals the show as Atlantic Lobster Tails are accented with bold flavors of tarragon, garlic butter, charred lemon and accompanied by marbled potatoes and grilled broccolini.

“The Butter Roasted Lobster Tails on the dinner menu is the most popular entrée,” Ohata says when asked about responses from guests when it comes to the well-rounded menu. “The dish includes three pieces with a total of 8-9 ounces of lobster meat that makes it a generous amount for one, and also easy to share at a table.”
