When customers think of Ramen-Ya, they think of a comfortable atmosphere, great value, large portions and a broad menu, says president Dorothy Lee.
“When we conceived of Ramen Ya, we felt we could bring ramen dining to another level,” she says. “We first thought we needed to provide a décor that was bright, comfortable and modern featuring cherry wood wall panels and granite tables, and are located in malls with ample parking.
“Our second goal was to broaden our menu to fit local families and taste buds for all ages,” Lee adds.
“We continue to evolve and bring new and fresh items for our guests. Fans young and old continue to rave, ‘Everyone of all ages love Ramen Ya — from keiki to kupuna.’”
The eatery — whose tagline is “Let Ramen Ya be your second kitchen” — offers comfort food fit for every household.
Popular items are the Combo Set-A ($14.95), which includes your choice of signature ramen with four pieces of gyoza and one choice of either mini fried rice, chicken katsu, Spam katsu, mochiko chicken or beef curry.
Also popular is the Black Garlic Ramen ($13.95), which features the eatery’s signature broth plus shoyu base and black garlic oil topped with seaweed, char siu, egg, green onion and crispy onion.
“We take pride and are thankful for our loyal fanbase who voted us Hawaii’s Best Ramen for the past 10 years,” concludes Lee. “Despite the challenges of the difficult pandemic years, we have made every effort to be fully sanitized and follow all government and CDC and state Department of Health guidelines.”
