The restaurant makes a splash by incorporating global culinary traditions into local dishes and offering ample indoor and outdoor seating flanked by a tranquil waterfall. The eatery serves as a perfect destination for breakfast, lunch, dinner and pau hana experiences throughout the week.
Guests are treated to live music nightly from 6 to 9 p.m. as popular local artists add to the relaxed, inviting ambiance. The current weekly lineup features Sean Naauao (Mondays), Kalae Camarillo (Tuesdays), Ei Nei (Wednesdays), Kawika Kahiapo (Thursdays), Ka Hehena (Fridays), Hookena (Saturdays) and Nathan Aweau (Sundays).
Kani Ka Pila Grille’s local-style comfort food is infused with fresh fish, fruits and meats sourced daily. Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort executive chef Dean Kamiya brings nearly 35 years of experience in the industry to every flavorful dish.
Kani Ka Pila Grille offers an array of tasty pupu to start the meal on a high note, including Fresh Catch Tacos ($20) that reel in the flavor with each bite as pan-seared fresh local fish is complemented with lomi tomato relish, chipotle aioli, Asian slaw and fresh jalapeños for an added kick. Dive in to the Classic Burger ($19) as two locally grown beef patties are stacked with green leaf lettuce and sliced Ewa tomatoes.
For dessert, end the evening with the sweet tunes of Pineapple Crème Brulee ($14), which is composed of caramelized pineapple, vanilla custard, burnt sugar and fresh strawberries.
