After getting its start in 2011 as a taco food cart in Waikiki, Alejandro’s Mexican Food has expanded to feature locations in Pearl City, Kapahulu and Kalihi, while remaining true to its original mission of selling tacos to help society.
“We hope customers enjoy our food the most overall,” owner Alejandro Alvarado says. “Good food, drinks, conversations, and a fun environment.”
Within the culinary melting pot of Hawaii that highlights the best dishes from multiple cultures and countries, Alejandro’s Mexican Food has honed in on transporting the taste of Mexico to Oahu. Alejandro’s showcases a range of tasty options, including Taco Combo Plate with three tacos, rice and beans ($13.50-$16.95), Wet Burrito Combo Plate with rice and beans ($13.50-$16.95) and Nachos With The Works ($11.50-$16.50).
With three locations that make dining easy for customers across the island, Alejandro’s continues to expand the possibilities for local guests.
“What I would like my guests to experience is a getaway from the real world,” says Alvarado. “If it’s just for two minutes or two hours, you feel good about being here. No worries and good vibing.”
