On any given Sunday or Monday around 4:30 p.m., those in the know will begin eagerly awaiting entry into Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar.
That’s because Sansei Waikiki has an early-bird special with 50% off almost all menu items from 5:30 to 6 p.m.
From signature sushi rolls to award-winning appetizers to succulent steaks and salmon, guests’ mouths will surely be salivating.
Although Sansei Waikiki does not take reservations for the early-bird special, serving instead on a first-come first-served basis, the delectable dishes crafted from fresh ingredients — at an unbeatable price — will be worth the wait.
“We run this promotion to bring in new guests as well as give back to our repeat guests for their loyalty,” says general manager Eileen Bailey-Marchan.
A recommended roll from the izakaya-style menu is the award-winning Mango Crab Salad Hand Roll (early-bird $6.50, regular $13). Mamenori wraps ripe mango, crab mix, cilantro, Big Island greens and crunchy peanuts, and a Thai chile vinaigrette adds a touch of sweetness.
Fresh Hawaiian Ahi Carpaccio (early-bird $9, regular $17.95) is another favorite fish dish, topped with cilantro, chopped peanuts and a Thai chile vinaigrette.
DK’s Crab Ramen with Truffle Butter Broth (early-bird $10.50, regular $20.95) is not to be missed. The rich truffle butter broth and fresh ramen noodles encompass crab, local jalapeños, cilantro and Thai basil to concoct a taste bud pleaser.
“We are a family friendly restaurant with excellent sushi, great steaks and a casual friendly atmosphere,” Bailey-Marchan concludes.
