‘Pop’ into this unique tea shop

Popcorn Chicken ($6.49)

The Alley has been serving up social-media-post-worthy teas for almost a year at Ala Moana Center.

Starting Oct. 24, the house- made boba won’t be the only thing guests can chew on. The Alley is adding Popcorn Chicken ($6.49) to its menu. Customers will have a choice of three flavors: truffle Parmesan, curry or mojo (Cuban).

The Alley is offering a combo special of Popcorn Chicken and any regular-sizes Grape Lulu Series drink for $9.99 during “dessert hours,” 7-9 p.m. The Grape Lulu Series blends red or white grapes with peach oolong tea, snow velvet cream (cheese foam) or yogurt.

The shop has a bevy of beverages to wash the chicken down. Hand-picked teas are showcased in the Original Brewed Teas Series, with the Royal No.9 Black Tea ($5.49, regular size) a popular pick for its hint of blueberry. The Milk Tea Series adds milk (organic, oat or soy) to fresh teas and sweetens them with in-house boiled cane sugar syrup.

The Snow Velvet Series add a splash of housemade cheese foam, and the Brown Sugar Deerioca Series combines many of The Alley’s fresh ingredients to create drink masterpieces. The Crème Brûlée Brown Sugar Deerioca Milk ($6.69, regular size) is a bestseller with signature brown sugar boba, creme brûlée pudding, sweet cream and a choice of milk.
