Enjoy an ‘egg’-cellent breakfast

For more than half a century, IHOP has been serving world-famous pancakes along with many other delicious dishes. And from now until Oct. 31, readers can enjoy its famous 2x2x2 deal for $8 at all four Hawaii IHOP locations all day long by mentioning Dining Out. Normally $17.29, the 2x2x2 deal includes two eggs, two meats and two fluffy pancakes.

Eggs can be cooked a variety of ways: scrambled, over easy, over medium, over hard, sunny-side up or cage-free egg whites (additional 99 cents). The meal also offers two meats, with options like bacon, sausage links or turkey bacon (additional 59 cents); guests also can combine one bacon and one sausage if they prefer.

For the two pancakes to complete the meal deal, the original buttermilk pancakes with their soft fluffy texture are included. Guests may also upgrade pancakes to one of IHOP’s famous flavors: tres leches (additional $1.99), cupcake (additional $1.49), N.Y. cheesecake (additional 99 cents), double blueberry (additional 99 cents), strawberry banana (additional $1.49) or chocolate chip (additional $1.99).

Because it lets diners try a variety of IHOP’s breakfast dishes, it’s no wonder the 2x2x2 is one of the most popular items sold at its Hawaii locations, according to area manager Darlene Balcita.

Another popular combination dish is the Breakfast Sampler ($19.89), which includes two eggs, hash browns, six meats and two pancakes.

“Come in and enjoy a meal while having a nice conversation with family and friends,” concludes Balcita.
