SWELL Pool & Bar is quickly gaining popularity as the destination restaurant and bar offers delicious food and beverage selections coupled with incredible views overlooking Waikiki Beach.
Located at the spectacular Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach, SWELL is the ideal setting as Highgate Hawaii hosts “Amplified: A Loud Act of Charity” in support of the High-gate Charitable Foundation (HCF) on Saturday, Aug. 20. Las Vegas party band The Pilots will perform rock favorites, while attendees experience a live auction, food, drinks and ample fun.
Net proceeds will support HCF, benefiting local charities Aga Khan Foundation, Save the Children and other organizations addressing poverty, education and health care. HCF has raised over $3 million for the Aga Kahn Foundation and Save the Children and invested $500,000 in Highgate’s Associate Relief Fund during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Guests can purchase general admission tickets for $129, which include the concert and participation in the highly anticipated live auction. The top auction item is valued at $12,000 and includes a three-night stay at The Westin Las Vegas Hotel & Spa with 320,000 HawaiianMiles, daily breakfast, a 50-minute massage and two Las Vegas experience events.
Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach executive chef Alexandre Petard will be serving up delicious bites for the special event. A $15 taco bar will feature a choice of tofu sofrito, house-smoked kalua pork and chipotle Molokai beef short ribs with ample classic taco accompaniments.
Attendees can also enjoy a $15 ahi nacho poke bar with bigeye tuna poke, wonton chips, avocado, cucumber, furikake and dynamite and kabayaki sauce. The event will also include complimentary cocktails such as Coco Loco, a refreshing cocktail of tequila, fresh coconut water and white crème de cacao. The Alohilani Mai Tai also makes a splash as it features light and dark rum, Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao, amaretto, pineapple juice, guava and fresh lime.
“Guests can enjoy the Las Vegas party band The Pilots performing a fun set of rock favorites from the ’80s, ’90s and today, while mingling with other members of the community,” says executive vice president of operations for Highgate Hawaii Kelly Sanders. “Discover delicious bites and cocktails from SWELL and be sure to stop by the live auction for a chance to win incredible experiences in Las Vegas, Hawaii and beyond.”
