Drive into the covered Safeway parking lot off Beretania in Honolulu to find ample parking spaces and a culinary treasure: Asian Mix.
A fusion of Chinese, Japanese and local flavors, takeout plates from Asian Mix are not only ono and plentiful, but they are also some of “the most reasonably priced for quality and quantity in town,” says owner Daniel Leung.
A good place to start on the expansive menu might be the weekly special item — popular plates priced at only $8.95 that almost always sell out each day. Special sale items have included the Pork Chop with Salt and Pepper, Chow Fun and Pot Roast Chicken.
Other mouthwatering dishes to try — which are cooked with the finest ingredients by a team of experienced chefs — are the Honey Roasted BBQ Pork ($15 per pound), Orange Flavored Chicken ($11.95), and Singapore Rice Noodle with yellow curry mild sauce ($9.95).
Do you need simple, easy platters for a party? Asian Mix also has a catering menu. State the number of people in your party and the dishes you desire, and the chefs will prepare perfect platters for pickup, including the utensils.
“At Asian Mix, people will appreciate what they get for what they pay. Although supply prices keep going up, we are still trying to keep costs for the customers down,” Leung continues.
“We have a lot of people lining up every day, and we are happy about the food we have to serve them,” concludes Leung.
