Enjoy the most important meal of the day at In-Yo Café, which can be found in Trump International Hotel Waikiki.
Its Ohana Breakfast ($40 per person; $17 for children ages 6-12) includes fresh fruits, pastries, breakfast meats, corn fritters, drinks and more. For choice of entrée, guests can select from various tasty options such as Mochi Pancakes, Cinnamon Toast Crunch French Toast and Avocado Toast.
The eatery’s Mochi Pancakes come with yuzu custard and fresh berries, and the Avocado Toast is comprised of pickled vegetables, fresco chiles, romesco sauce, clover sprouts and poached eggs.
“The new take on the French toast is super fun and really tasty,” says executive chef Joseph Rose. “The cereal crust gives you a sense of being a kid again.”
In-Yo Cafe also offers a la carte dishes such as its Breakfast BLT ($23), which features rye bread, spiced maple slab bacon, heirloom tomato, baby arugula, fried egg, avocado mayo, and choice of green salad or breakfast potatoes.
“We cut slab bacon into thick-cut slices and glaze it with a chile maple syrup, and finish it with a fennel and coriander rub we make,” Rose explains. “With the avocado mayo, fried egg and the rye bread, it makes for a very tasty, yet kind of messy, sandwich.”
In-Yo Café is open from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. with complimentary valet parking available. Full table participation is encouraged for its Ohana Breakfast.
