Located on the third floor of Royal Hawaiian Center, Restaurant Suntory boasts authentic Japanese cuisine. For intimate gatherings, the eatery houses a private dining room that seats 12, complete with a view of Royal Grove. In the private room, diners can enjoy offerings from the restaurant’s washoku menu (featuring four different courses).
The Hibiki Course ($138) features seven dishes that include everything from high-quality sashimi to Miyazaki wagyu steak and sushi.
“This course is perfect to celebrate your special day or treat yourself to dinner, and is an amazing course to pair with any drink you choose to have — sake, whisky or wine,” says assistant manager Asami Hamana.
The Kamameshi Course ($65) is also part of the washoku menu and is quite popular.
The Chicken Nanban ($15), which is fried until it’s the perfect golden color, is coated with sweet vinegar and topped with homemade tartar sauce.
For drinks, Hamana suggests guests try the Yuzu-Mule ($15), which is made with yuzu juice, ginger beer, vodka, lemon juice and a touch of butterfly tea for some color.
“This super refreshing cocktail has well-balanced tanginess and sweetness, which is perfect for these hot summer days,” Hamana notes.
In addition, Restaurant Suntory also features teppanyaki and sushi menus, allowing guests the opportunity to try different dining styles with each visit.
