By incorporating world-inspired cuisine, and taking dishes from around the globe and translating or fusing them with Asian influences to align with the local palate, the team at Amuse Wine Bar takes pride in creating dishes that hit a familiar note with local diners around items they ate while growing up.
Amuse Wine Bar also features a unique self-serve wine module, so from white wine to red wine, guests can sample different vino by the ounce or a full glass.
“Amuse Wine Bar serves up a fun, casual environment with live music on Tuesday,” says Stage Restaurant and Amuse Wine Bar chef Ron de Guzman. “Self-service wine modules let guests create a personalized ‘wine adventure’ for the evening. The food comes from the same kitchen, just adjacent to Amuse, at Stage Restaurant. Family-style sharing is encouraged so guests can sam ple multiple dishes.”
Patatas Bravas ($11) is a hearty, spicy potato dish crafted with Asian patatas, spicy mayo, Spanish paprika, tobiko, furikake and katsuobushi. Stage Escargot ($17) brings together rich flavors with green garlic butter, cauliflower purée, Parmesan crisp, demi-glace and arugula.
Fried Brussels Sprouts with Applewood Bacon ($8) is another must-try sharable, as is Spanish-Inspired Steamed Clams ($15) prepared with Spanish paprika, sake, butter, tomatoes and onions.
Mushroom Pizza with Goat Cheese and Truffle Essence ($15) is a popular pizza selection that pairs perfectly with one’s favorite wine or beverage as the flavor combination is enhanced with marinara, mozzarella cheese and mushrooms.
“We are in the process of revamping our menu at Stage Restaurant and Amuse Wine Bar to create a more casual, family-style concept, introducing both old favorites and new flavors,” says Stage Restaurant and Amuse Wine Bar general manager Kay Ikeda. “Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, our wine modules have been put on reserve. We hope to reopen the modules in June for that unique wine tasting experience that has brought so much excitement to our guests.”
Diners are encouraged to keep an eye out for special themed dinners every month. “Tasting Thursday,” which is held on the second Thursday of each month, is designed for wine lovers as this event highlights a select wine theme paired with accompanying food flavors to complement the wines.
Every last Tuesday of the month, diners can look forward to an “Ovation Wine Dinner” with a culinary-themed chef’s menu of the night, along with personal wine service from sommelier Sky Cameron. Guests should make reservations soon for these and other upcoming themed opportunities because these special events do sell out!
